Dynamically walking biped

Usually biped-robots walk in constant ballance – also known as passive walking. This gives them a really strange looking quality in their stride – easy to recognice and one of the things that often makes it easy to identify a robot from a person. Now Boston Dynamics have taken yet another step (!) towards the true humanoid robot by creating a set of robot legs that are able to move more or less like a human being – at least in a controlled environment.
